Hi,
I am planning to go for an MBA in Canada in the year 2022. If everything goes well I will be opting for Operations Management as my field of specialization.
After getting a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering in the year 2012 and a short stint at a software company I went on to start my business. Since then I have been working on my startups. My first startup was in Interior Design and Project Execution. I had to close it in the year 2019 owing to profit margin related issues. In the September 2019 itself I started working on my second startup in healthcare domain. We provide healthcare services to old people in the comfort of their homes. I have played multiple roles at my startups like Operations head and Business development manager. To add I have stayed and worked in India only. I don't have any international work experience.
What I wish to emphasize here is that though I have a strong management experience through managing my startups but I don't have name of any big brand to back my experience.
Having explained my situation, I wish to understand few points:
1. Do companies take a candidate professional experience prior to doing MBA in consideration while offering job ?
2. While seeking a job in Operations role will my experience be helpful or will it pose challenges in seeking a job offer?
3. Is there any data based report which you can share that studies students background prior to MBA and job offers they got?
In addition, please feel free to suggest me few countries where chances of me getting a job would be high.
Thanks in advance.
Regards
Adil
