Emory has a strong presence in Atlanta and I am sure if you have a solid plan during your time at Emory, you will be able to get into IB. An MBA will definitely give you an edge in terms of engineering a move to your desired job function/industry. I suggest that you talk to the career office at Emory and get a sense of what they can do for you to help get you to where you wanna go to. If you are motivated enough and have the time to spare, go talk to some alums as well to get a good sense of how your future career will pan out, if you decide to enroll in Emory this fall.
It wasn't easy to get into Emory (I was one of those denied admission - yes , it hurts! But I am going to rock my time at Olin nonetheless to make Emory regret their decision

) and the fact that you were offered admission shows that you are definitely somebody with top credentials and stellar achievements. I'd seriously suggest that you take some time out to reflect on what you wanna do post-MBA and consider the companies you wanna work for, and thereafter, assess how Emory fits into the overall scheme of things.
As the saying goes, "Failing to plan is planning to fail." If you don't have a plan going into b-sch, even getting into an elite MBA program will not bring you the success and happiness that you are seeking. All the best ! Hope our advice has been helpful !
