If your goal is finance on the west coast, I think Haas is a great choice. 15-20% end up in finance(6% in IM). I think the real anti-finance stigma comes into play when you're talking about NYC Finance out of Haas. Go and enjoy the perfect weather and great community, congrats!

I hate it when people edit out their first post after they receive the info they want... The point of communities like this is to help fellow applicants... By answering your question, my plan wasn't to only help you, but give my opinion to others in your situation in the future... By editing out your question, a future applicant in the same situation will miss out on this advice.
Just so everyone knows, the question was - "I got into Haas, and not Wharton CBS or whatever other top east coast finance heavy schools. My plan is to pursue finance on the west coast in investment management, should I go to Haas, or reapply next year to the same top east coast finance schools. I am worried that since Haas carries a stigma of being anti finance, it would not be a good fit for my career goals, blah blah blah"
I'll have to remember to quote the first post from now on...
