I've been toying with the idea of concentrating on Technology with a focus on what is now dubbed automobile infotainment systems (the center console programs that connect with your ipod/smartphone/etc.) as this would marry my interest with tech and cars. Ross seems like an obvious choice, but what other schools would have good connections to the auto industry? Thank you!

Ross Ross Ross. Also since you have a tech angle, I'd consider looking at Stanford, MIT, Haas, Anderson. If you want to work for a specific manufacturer then you could be better off going more local (eg Carlson, Wisconsin)
