Congratulations on getting into ISB,Krannert and Kelley. Operations management is one of the top areas of study at Krannert and a lot of students get into operations post-mba. Your choice should be between Kelley and Krannert. The brand value of Kelley is hard to neglect, but the full scholarship at Krannert makes it a definite winner. If you get an admit and a good admissions package from Fisher, then yu'll have to choose between Krannert and Fisher.

Good Luck!

Thanks for the advice. Just an update Fisher waitlisted me. So I guess its Kelly vs Krannert.

What happened with Tepper?

I think choosing Krannert makes sense. Can't ignore a full ride and moreover, Purdue has a good reputation back in India. (I'm assuming you would want to return because you applied to ISB)

Thanks Jumsumtak,

I applied to Tepper in round 2 , so results are yet to be declared. Yes I do want to eventually return to India but only after 4-5 of work in the US. Krannert I am more concerned about the job opportunities.

Go with Krannert. Krannert has better employment statistics in the field of operations and the full ride is difficult to overlook.

Good Luck!

Purdue is good for operations. You can get jobs in AT Kearney as a Resourcing Associate managing supply chain processes, vendors etc.
Its much better than fighting for Accenture and McKinsey among 800 Indian students with average GMAT of 710.

Thanks Abhi.
Ya I know its hard to fight especially if you are non IIT grad. Some consulting companies just dont look at other college grads.

This is coming from an IIT grad.. many of my friends who attended ISB had tough time getting into consulting. hardly 5 percent students get into MBB. if you are targeting Ops, purdue is a no brainer!. Purdue is at par with the Top 10 schools in Operations, even if you go by rankings.

Even if i had the same money at kelley, i would still think about Purdue for its strength in operations and , in general, a very known brand!..

My family was pressurizing me to apply to ISB :). ISB is good for people who have experience in companies such as ITC, Shell, Schulumburger who are looking to leverage their operations experience to Consulting. For the rest of us its not the best option .

You got it right man .. my hostelmates from IIT both worked for ITC and then went to ISB.. one could make it to BCG but the other could not.. although he got a pretty good job at lodha group.

What i am saying : you could get into deloitte , but MBB : take hardly 30-40 people from ISB going by this year's placement standards. trust me, almost everyone wants these jobs.

I have a lot friends in the current class. When i visited ISB , everyone told me not to come there. If you really want to know more about ISB, you should visit the campus.
