In general, I'd say don't do it....but this seems like a nice back-door way into permanent US residency, so in you're case might be worth it. You should be able to find a job ~$50k-60k even at really **** business schools. Do check the employment reports though.

Thanks alot. You are right, in addition to education opportunity, residency is another chance, if I get a job. So I did check the placement stats in U.S news for UC and found they had a good placement in 2013. My own favorite choice is also UC. I will appreciate further comments and advices.

Another option since all schools are somewhat unfamiliar to me and perhaps a wash, is to consider geo-location and if something jumps out at you and other "quantifiable factors" such as local businesses hiring a person of your background, etc.

Do you have any friends or family anywhere close to these schools? That will be a big factor. I probably would not seek out locations with nearby Iranian communities since that may be a shot in the foot (makes it harder to assimilate and become "American")

Good Luck!

Thnx bb,

I used to learn from you in other sections of the forum, but your insight here is helpful as before. I have; my brother is in LA (not so close though) and some other relatives but none of them in OH. According to US news ranking and other factors the UC is the better option for me. I do not know about hiring of my background but I did a search about the hiring stats for the UC and it is good and acceptable.

It is somehow weird no one heard of one of these schools, even UC! Everyone goes to top 20???? so what about these schools, they do not have any value? BTW, I have to choose wisely among one of them in regards to my condition.

I appreciate your help bb.
