Can't really offer too much insight since we don't know much about you. Were you accepted into the full time USC program or USC MBA.PM program? Do you want to switch industries/employers during or after your program? Are you a career enhancer or a career switcher? How much money does the fellowship offer?

Anyways, I'll assume you are talking about the USC MBA.PM program. Potential, youth, and energy doesn't help you secure a new job. Established networks and brands do. It takes a while for a new business school to get its bearings and build a network. I'll also assume you live in the OC (since you are considering UCI). I can bet that you see at least one USC license plate or bumper sticker everyday. How many UCI license plates or bumper stickers do you see everyday? Take a drive through LA county and all you will see is USC license plates with a scattering of UCLA/Berkeley/Stanford/etc. Many of those people may be fans of USC because of their football program, but that is one more person you will have a connection with.

An MBA is a stamp of approval and a resume check for many companies. Would you rather get your stamp from USC, which has arguably the strongest network in Southern Coalifornia, or UCI, which is a good UC school but not relatively known for their business school.
