In general what all documents do business schools need to see during the interview stage?
And what documents do they require once they've admitted you to the school?

It is a random question 
I don't think anyone needs to see any documents during the interview.
Usually you will have submitted everything by that time - your resume, transcript, etc. They may see your ID (driver's license or passport make sure it is you but that's all I can think of)....
After you matriculate, for the school itself, I don't think there is much of a document list that is required... mostly it is a check, deposit, and money at that point. You will undergo a background check usually but you don't need to provide any specific documentation.

The only reason I'm asking is because I've heard a lot of different versions regarding the documents they might ask for and I just want to make sure that I have everything in order right away.
Also what kind of background check do they undertake? Is it advisable to hire a consultant beforehand to help you with all this? I've read stories of people being harassed by background checking agencies which often make it a hellish experience for the applicant and I have no intention of going through all of that.
