Aren't you missing an option here...
Tuck is ranked higher than Yale SOM and gave you a scholarship.

Can't you contact yale, inform them of Tuck's scholarship and kindly ask them to reconsider you for scholarship?

That is a possibility. I just read that scholarships are non-negotiable.

Short answer is yes you can place deposit down on two schools. However the ethical dilemma comes into play in that you will be holding someone's spot at one of these schools unfortunately. April is a pretty long time to hang onto a spot that you may or may not want.

I obviously don't know your circumstances but will the $$ really sway your decision that much. It sounds like you were totally in love with school A and accepted immediately. You probably would have gone to that school if you didn't get into school B. That alone tells me that you are able to go to school A even if your finances may not be as healthy. In that case, think long and hard about the decision because money can and potentially should be a tiebreaker only if you are undecided over two schools. In this case it sounds like you like school A a lot more so maybe the $$ should not come into the decision making.

Tuck is considerably better than Yale, I'd just go to Tuck. Yale might have made you feel nice with their sales pitch, but there's substantial differences in their recruiting.

This would probably be the best choice, I think.

That is a great question. I am pretty much in love with school A. But school B is just as prestigious and awesome. I just felt the emotional connection to school A. April is a very long time to hold onto the spot. I think i won't do it. I haven't called school A yet but I may call them and ask for some $ - I dont htink it can hurt.

Go to Tuck

Drop Yale's offer, save the commitment fee and make someone else happy by giving up your spot
