Hello all, happy new year!
I am here to post my question as this will be a choice that will not be reversible.
I am hoping to get a serious and honest answer since I am not in the U.S. at the moment.
I have been working in a finance industry for a few years then decided to change my career to a game industry as a global business developer. I am really enjoying my current job but since I was not majored in business I wanted to brush up my skills as well as to work/live in the US, so I decided to apply for an MBA. After graduating a graduate school, I am hoping to work in a game industry in California (since most of the tech/game companies are located in California anyways).
Now my question is in real life situation post graduation, I am wondering if Hult SF MBA would be better in terms of finding a job and getting recognitions by the recruiters, or pursue a traditional MS course in Global Business from Pepperdine, a school that has been known for networking within Southern California for many years.
Hult is fairly a new school that has been going up in the rankings recently, and it does award me an MBA degree, whereas Pepperdine will grant me a MS degree, but is a known school and has been around for a very long time.
The reason why I am applying for Hult MBA and Pepperdine MS Global Business is because I haven’t really got a good score in GMAT and these seem like the best choice at the moment for me (Pepperdine's does not require the GMAT, and Hult's global rotation and scholarships pursuaded me).
I really hope to hear you guys on the actual job-search/networking power out in the real world (MBA vs MS). Because it looks like Pepperdine has some strong network for companies within LA, I chose to apply despite MS degree.
