Hi,

I have admit from these two schools and I am wondering where I should go.

Suny Bufallo:
Rank 73
50k$ Tuition
New York
Avg sal: 60k$

Mason(College of Williams and Mary):
Rank 82
62k$ Tuition After deducting 20k$ scholarship
Virginia
Avg Sal: 77k$

Please post your reviews as I am confused. I have 5 years exp in IT and 600 GMAT.
My goal is to do MBA in technology management.

From what i have heard, NY is definitely better for job search later as compared to W&M. Cant say much as I am also trying to figure out if I should go for W&M or NC State.

If you want to get into financial sector after MBA then Join Buffalo; East coast is anytime better than any other location if you want to work for citi bank, J P Morgan etc.

If you want to make career in management consulting then you should chose Mason, but as per my understanding williamsburg is not a job hub; you will have to put some effort in finding job in Carolina or in north east coast markets.

OP, out of the schools listed, try to express more interest in showing that you want to go to Pittsburgh. As it is a bigger city than buffalo and the technology program there has a better reputation. If it still ends up being Buffalo and Mason, then go to Buffalo.

Buffalo has NO jobs! Please don't be misguided by it being in New York....New York city is where all the jobs are (atleast most of the good ones) and buffalo is far away from that. I had a couple of friends who were in the business school (not MBA) and the career services does a pretty decent job of bringing companies to campus. We had some big names come in like KPMG, Microsoft, Bloomberg etc.

I have no idea about Mason, so not going to comment on that.

You should do further research into the placements of both the schools and specifically in the field that you want and make a decision based on that.

p.s. I went to grad school (comp sci) in Buffalo.
