Hi GmatClub,
I'll really appreciate is I can get some inputs on my dilemma.
I am an international student (India) from a software industry background. Post-MBA I wish to work in the software industry in a Product Management role (preferably in Silicon Valley-west coast).
I have been fortunate enough to receive admits from two good schools - Johnson and Kelley. While there is no aid from Johnson, Kelley has offered me a merit scholarship and opportunity to work as a graduate assistant. Total funding from Kelley amounts to around $74,000.
To achieve my post-MBA goals, I'll face locational disadvantage in both of the schools.
If, I compare pros and cons of both the schools. Johnson is a bit higher ranked and Cornell's overall brand can help me in my job hunt. On the other hand Kelley being a Marketing oriented school will help me acquire skills for product management.
So, I'll really appreciate if someone could provide me inputs on my situation whether a higher rank and better brand is worth giving up an aid of $74000.
Thanks a lot in advance.
Regards,
Anuj
