Hi everyone,
First of all, I know that there is just a limited amount of advice I can get with such a general question. Yet being at the beginning of my research and planning process I thought it makes sense to ask.
A few words about me: I am a 23 year old Undergraduate of an average/good university in England and I studied economics. I was born and raised in Berlin and only went to England after completing 10th grade in Germany. After completing boarding school (GCE Advanced Level) I went on a gap year to Central America to learn Spanish. Also in my gap year I had some international (European) work experience for 4 months. Currently I am a trainee in an online marketing start-up.
Here my question:
1. Do I even have a chance of acceptance with an average result from an average university? I mean with a high GMAT result (and of course everything else that is expected, such as international work experience, having the required amount of work experience, languages, etc.) will the undergraduate result count so much?
2. How do the MBA courses differ- i.e. which are the main differences and what should I look at when I do my research? (I know this is very vague, but I am very thankful for any experience and help!)
3. I don’t know which industry I want to go into after taking the MBA- I find interest in most things in life and having had no contact with (online) marketing prior to my current job, I am glad and excited I had and have the chance of learning so much! However I see myself more as an entrepreneur (which is silly, I know, I have never actually done anything entrepreneurial or gained any experience).
Well, as you can see even my questions are vague and not quite precise. However, I am very happy and thankful for any information and experience you want to share
Thanks in advance
JB
