I am currently torn and have a tough time deciding between three MBA programs in which I have been admitted into:
- Emory (with $$)
- UNC Kenan-Flagler
- IESE
How comparable is a top 5 European Business School to a Top 20 US Business School ranking/reputation-wise? How would it be ranking-wise be if European and US programs were ranked together?
Without a doubt, IESE has a better name in Europe. But is the prestige and brand name of IESE strong enough in the US if I do decide to return to work and live in the US after my MBA? Would IESE opens doors/opportunities for me into more prestigious companies versus Emory, UNC?
Ya'll advice would be much appreciated!
Background: I currently work in corporate and investment banking front-office position in NYC. Been in the same team for 3+ years. Also have half a year experience as a FIG Credit Analyst and 1 year of consulting experience. Native Spanish speaker. US Citizen.
Goal: I am looking to transition into a corporate strategy / business development role within a large corporation or a startup. Flexible in terms of geography. Backup would be to do management consulting or rejoin finance.
