I've been accepted to NYU Stern (half-tuition scholarship) and to Northwestern Kellogg (no scholarship). I'm incredibly grateful and excited by these two options, but also very torn.
I wanted to hear your thoughts on the two schools given my background and short-term career goals.
In short, I'm a non-traditional candidate from the Northeast looking to change careers. My immediate short-term goal is to work in strategy consulting at MBB in New York.
Thanks!
My vote would be for Kellogg, it's perceived as a consulting school whereas NYU is perceived as a finance school.
The emphasis on teamwork is attractive to MBB recruiters and good preparation.
I'm not sure NYU is perceived as a top 10 school - whereas Kellogg definitely is.
Keep in mind GMAT needed for MBB top 10 is 700; top 20, 720.
