Which one would be better between McGill and George Washington University? Can anyone tell me the quality of these MBA programs in its absolute sense? And then, can anyone help me make a decision between McGill with little to no scholarship while George Washington covering almost 80% of the tuition. Im an international too so visa and employability post-MBA is also a factor to take into account?
Does anyone also have a comment to make here on the chances of securing employment in US for an international after their MBA from a university of George Washington's standard? (especially considering the H1-B regulations and potential introduction of more strictness into it)

I did not apply to US schools because of H1B situation, which will only get tougher due to Trump. Getting a job offer after graduating from a top-tier US MBA school is tough enough, and it will be much, much tougher at GW which I think is at about bottom of 2nd tier at best.
Canadian schools are getting more applicants than ever due to tough US work visa and immigration rules, which are anticipated to become tougher.
If your intention is to immigrate, go to McGill. McGill has a great brand power within Canada and is a reasonably good international brand in case things don't work out for you in Canada post graduation. After graduating from a 2-year master's program, you can get a 3-year post graduation work permit which enables you to work anywhere in Canada. After 1 year of full-time work, it is easy to apply for permanent residency through Express Entry. If you speak French, it is a no brainer. If not, McGill still places about 30% of its class in Toronto.
You have about 30% chance of getting approved for H1B. That is IF you get a job offer. US companies are reluctant to hire internationals these days as even if they hire internationals, there is no guarantee of H1B which means they might have to let the employees go which they spent time and money to train for 1 year. Therefore, it is tougher to get a job offer these days. Even international students from M7 are struggling and end up going back to their home countries.
I am not willing to bet my future on the luck of a draw, so I am heading to Canada. I do not speak French so getting a job in Quebec would be very tough, but it is up to me to do well in the program and be one of the 30% that places in Toronto vs. leaving my future to pure luck in H1B lottery.

Yeah that makes a lot of sense. Future in Canada seems to be much more secure than in US for sure!

When comparing universities Canadian and US universities, you should also factor in how much value the brand has within its given geography. Most people (myself included) consider McGill to be a top-tier program in Canada, and the few who don't would put McGill right at the top of the list of Tier 2 MBA programs. The McGill name is very respected across Canada, so you will not necessarily be stuck in Quebec after graduation.
Nobody would consider George Washington to be a Tier 1, or even a Tier 2 program in the US. For all I know, it may be a great program. But afterwards you would likely be competing against other graduates from much more prestigious programs.
In the end, it's about finding which program best meets your needs and goals. Best of luck with the decision.

McGill feels like the choice here...GWU is nota top brand for business in the states and given your VISA issues Canada would be the better play for you
