I agree that it is a gamble, but it feels good to have at least a shot at it. Also,I felt that McCombs is more of a regional school and Fuqua has its presence nationwide, maybe because of the larger class size. Do you agree?

Thank you for your suggestion. Also what matters to me is the international reputation and Fuqua wins hands down on that front.

I think Fuqua is better decision. Fuqua is better brand and I think Fuqua has more alumni working in MBB.

Good luck.

Depends on what city you want to live in. If you want to live in Dallas or Houston, MBB definitely recruit from McCombs, and I have quite a few friends who attended McCombs that work for those firms. I personally would go with McCombs, because I enjoy the low cost of living in Texas.

$25k per year is not horrible to get a much better shot at MBB and up your rankings/prestige/etc. you are already investing 300k with opportunity cost and tuition. But I don’t feel it is black and white.

In terms of your last question, brand and how it helps you after graduation. It is hard to tell sometimes since your resume may be picked from a pile due to Fuqua (Duke) name or due to your achievements. At the same time I feel, most jobs after the first one are based on networking and professional accomplishments. However, it sets a good tone when you can say, I have a 99th percentile on the GMAT or I went to a top 10 MBA. First impressions are important but how do you value them?
