Hi all
I have been admitted to these two schools -
1. Katz, University of Pittsburgh with 70% scholarship
2. Merage, University of California with 45% scholarship
The difference in tuition fees I would end up paying would be $36,000. I wanted to know your thoughts on these schools. Both are similarly ranked but California provides better opportunities in terms of post-MBA career but that would be at the cost of $36,000. I want to work in mid-tier consulting firms or supply chain/operations division of some big companies.
Currently, Katz looks more promising to given the financial benefit but Merage outweighs on opportunities. What are your thoughts?

Hi Naval,
Congrats for both schools.
As a operations and supply chain professional, I'm not aware of Merage as supply chain feeder. Even when I check curriculum and career report, I did not find any support to this field. Also, I do not see any consulting jobs. Compared to Merage , Katz is better. At least you have supply chain track clear with supply chain certification. The locations of Katz will help you to access many service industries in North East and some CPG companies in Mid West. While Katz is not consulting feeder, I can see some activity for Mckinsey competition and some presence for other mid tier. You will find fierce competition from other big schools in the area.
I recommend Katz over Merage and could provide more opportunities.
What about Krannert & Fisher? any offers from them?

Hi thanks a lot for the perspective. That really made my decision easier. I didn't apply to Krannert this year and got dinged from Fisher.
