Were you just offered a place off the WL? I am in the same boat. One major thing to consider is working permit in the US. Do you have a greencard already?

Yes, off the waitlist. I don't have a greencard but I'm not an EU citizen either.

INSEAD without a second thought. It's 2 tiers above Darden for MBB.

This..in Europe or Asia. Not at all in the US. All depends on where you want to work.

From your post it seems like you want to be international, so INSEAD is the answer.

I agree. But as far as I know MBB doesn't heavily recruit at Darden. Fuqua is the maximum stretch for them. INSEAD is a core school for MBB with the highest recruitment in MBB internationally. If someone is not dying to work in US, there is simply no comparison between the two schools.

For MBB, recruiting is international so it really doesn't make much of a difference.

As far as I know MBB does recruit from Darden and it is a target school. It is easier to get a working permit in Europe than in US for highly qualified people. In the US you have to factor in the H1B lottery, which has a roughly 66% chance of fail. EU visa logic works a bit differently.
