Hi. There is no doubt it will be a good and helpful experience, esp this long into a career. I feel that it is always good to take some time and pause for a moment to observe and learn. I have recently taken an online course (a few years ago) from the Cornell's online curriculum and it was pretty good. The course went fast and it was a bit lonely doing things on my own without the community aspect of it (though the course did try to incorporate some forum discussions, at which I chuckled), but the bottom line it was a very positive experience esp since your employer is covering the cost, so I don't think you will regret it.

However, one item to watch out for is that with the requirements being low and often not even requiring that one takes the GMAT, you get people with all kinds of backgrounds, rusty skills, and not very committed. I think one issue with online education is that since it is easy to get it, it is just as easy to drop out or show lack of commitment. I would check on that in your research.

Thanks and congrats!

Do schools usually provide such stats? I have seen a lot of data around acceptance vs attending for FT programs, but it would be interesting to see graduation rates specific to the online programs. Very insightful. I appreciate your feedback. Carlson is just now starting their online offering so I'd imagine it could be more difficult to find but I might be able to correlate some info based on their PT program.
