Hello All,
I am located in the DC-Maryland-VA area and looking to start an online or flex MBA in the fall, likely with a focus in Finance and/or Business Analytics. I am seeking any input or advice on which school to choose and thought I may try to post something here
I have narrowed my choices down to Carey (Hopkins), Smith (Maryland), Kelley (Indiana), or Harbert (Auburn). After scholarships, Carey, Smith and Kelley are all coming in at about the same cost, while Harbert would end up being about 65% of the total program cost as the previous three. Indiana consistently ranks high in the online MBA program, but much of the alumni network is in the mid-west. Maryland is local, and also ranks pretty high in the online MBA program. Hopkins is a well known University, but the business school and MBA program doesn't have very good rankings, as it is relatively new (I also do NOT work in the health industry). Auburn does actually rank pretty high in the online MBA program, and seems to be great value, but it doesn't really have the same name brand recognition as the previous three. I already have a good job in Finance and am really looking for the MBA to broaden my knowledge-base and open up new opportunities in the future, so I am not going to be applying for jobs during or right after the program (or at least I do not hope to be).
Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
