Hi everyone! I just got into Booth today with a $20k per year scholarship. I got into Darden Round 1 with no money. I'm looking to pivot my career from financial services in NYC (working at a hedge fund in a non-front office research role currently) to consulting, but also want to keep my options open and have considered a CPG/marketing role. Would love to get people's ideas of what the better option is career-wise? Felt that Booth was a stretch, so hadn't really considered and was really excited about the community feel and warmer weather at Darden. Is there anything I should know about the cultures of the different schools?

Congratulations on both admits! Both are great schools and will give you strong opportunities to pivot into consulting.
That being said, Booth is the stronger program and more of a target for MBB and other top consulting firms. Factoring in the scholarship you've received from Booth really makes it a no-brainer. While Darden may have more of a community feel, Booth students all live in close proximity and there is more community than it generally gets credit for. I graduated from Booth myself so may be slightly biased, but I had a fantastic experience and would not trade it for anything

This should be a no-brainer decision in favor of Booth.
Consulting recruitment outcomes for both schools for Class of 2020 are below:
- Booth sent ~230 people into consulting, of which 112 people got into MBB.
- Darden sent a total of ~130 people into consulting. MBB data not available but will certainly be much less compared to Booth.
As you can see, there's a significant gap in outcomes, and Booth is one of the strongest feeder programs for MBB in particular and consulting in general. The fact that you are getting some money from them sweetens the deal further!
