Hello Guys,
I have decide between Columbia and Yale EMBA programs. Both are very strong and have a great reputation.
My focus is on Pharmaceuticals Sector, Both programs have HPM ( Columbia ) and Healthcare Track ( Yale ). After doing some research I landed:
Columbia
1) Columbia has far more pharmaceutical commercialization courses than Yale SOM
2)Columbia has a more diverse set and number of courses to draw from from other areas
3)New York City Advantage
4)Deeper digital health inroads
5)Larger alumni network
6)Columbia University ranked Number 3 in US News for 2021, and ranked top 10 business school in the world
Yale
1)Yale has a slightly higher reputation even though ranked slightly lower? ( Am I imagining this?, after reading this in a few places? Highly debated, I am not quite sure of this !)
2)Yale is extremely good at healthcare service delivery and alumni strongly placed in healthcare public policy, government and hospitals
3)Smaller number of graduating healthcare MBAs overall, compared to CBS
4)MBA is more general management focus and brings in more MDs into the program
5)Smaller alumni network comparatively
6)Yale is right behind Columbia in all rankings, by 1 or 2 spots. Really no big difference.
I would like get your thoughts, focusing on the Pharmaceuticals specialization and not healthcare delivery for both schools.
