Hi guys! I really need your help with school selection.
Admitted:
ESSEC Asia Pacific MSc Marketing Management & Digital
EMlyon Paris MSc Digital Marketing & Data Science (5%scholarship with the late application, deposit paid)
Career Target:
Tier 1 Marketer in Luxury & Cosmetics industry(my dream company LVMH)
Tier 2 Internet & Consulting firms
Ideal Location:
Paris & other EU cities > Singapore > Shanghai
(I love the Parisian style, but Singapore seems a very booming city)
Linkedin Research:
ESSEC: Most alumni work in luxury companies in Singapore(LVMH, Richemont), internet companies(Shopee/Razer), Meds(Sanofi), Consulting(Capgemini), FMCG(L'oreal); Another small half works in China, similar industries and companies; meanwhile, the advisor said we can apply for jobs in France, if we get the offer, the company will sponsor the visa.
EMlyon:Alumni work in Tech industry(Huawei PM in Poland, Amazon BA in Louxeburg, Tesla distribution analyst), Luxury(Chanel digital marketing & e-commerce), FMCG(L'oreal BI,Markter) , Data Consulting(Capgemini, Deloitte)...
Concerns:
1. ESSEC has a higher overall ranking and more luxury-related projects, but the location is in Singapore. I'd have to apply for full-time jobs in France after graduation as a foreigner and get the company to sponsor my Visa.
2. EMlyon has a great career outcome. However, it seems that I am more into the brand & product development & digital marketing track than marketing analyst. Will it be more beneficial to learn branding & New Product Development or data for my career in marketing?
3. Will graduating from the top 3 Business schools or top 5 Business schools be an influential factor for my career or future? Some people say it is a huge difference, and others don't. I wonder how EU people think about it.
