Hey folks -
I am certainly in a tough spot. I was fortunate to have been accepted into both Tepper and Goizeuta's full-time MBA programs. In addition, I received about a half-tuition from each school. Given that cost would be comparable (although Pittsburgh might be a bit cheaper based on housing/living expenses) I am pretty torn between which school might be a better fit.
The new US News and World Report rankings were released today and I'd argue that given Tepper's rank of 16 and Goizueta's new ranking of 21 - the general BSchool rankings shouldn't play too much importance in my decision, although it should still be important to note.
Given my background in both Product Management and Healthcare Tech, I've generally leaned into the idea that I'd pursue a role in HealthcareTech post-MBA. However, I really want to keep my options open as I pursue my higher education as I might find a role/company that has not been on my radar. I do consider myself a bit of a techie, and the long hours albeit higher pay that one might find in consulting has never been of much interest to me.
I do like Goizeuta's proximity to the South and in a large city; although, I am not overly deterred by Tepper's eastern placement given its brand recognition and general connections across the states. Beyond scouring both Tepper's Employment Report and Goizueta's Employment Report to get a better sense of where my options might lie post-grad, does anyone have any additional thoughts/considerations on how I might make this choice?
Many thanks!
