I believe currently tech recruiting is fairly nonexistent at UNC (UNC guys - correct me if I am wrong) and it’s important to have a pathway. Ross has been able to build their connections to variety of companies within tech Eco system and if they have alumni within those companies, career services will reach out to them and ask to help interview and do mocks with The candidates from the current year. Most business calls do some thing along these lines. Some will leave you to do your own bidding but others are better at it and they will do it more structured especially with high value alumni from places like Google and Microsoft and meta. From what I heard, even Apple started hiring at Ross a few years ago.

But better chance is a not a guarantee of success. Simply going to Ross and saying I want to work for Google, it’s not enough. People from Stanford and Harvard also want to work for Google. So you have to look at your profile and think about what would make you attractive to a potential tech employer.

There are many benefits to a higher rank program and you can see my post about the value of a top 10 MBa, it’s a sticky pinned post in the sub forum. However in this case in very perverted way you could say that you’re paying for better recruiting chances and to half access to a better network and better employers. However, it’s still you in both cases and the only difference is the extra help that you’ll be getting from your classmates and alarms. But you is the constant…

It’s hard to say how much a shot at a good job is worth. Someone may choose Ross and it will be the perfect choice for them while someone else may choose UNC and they will be happy with that choice.

I think between Yale and Ross, Ross is still better for tech Kellogg is better than Ross :-)
