Overall, I think it comes down to your priorities. Based on what you've said, I would choose LBS (maybe slight bias given I went there).
But here's a few things to consider.
1. Salary
No question, US salaries are higher than the UK for an equivalent job. Also, UK taxes are awful - especially if you've been in the Middle East with low/zero taxes, your net salary will appear to be awful. If you get a post-MBA job at the big management consulting firms, you'd probably be in the highest/2nd highest tax bracket. So if this is a really important factor, I would look at the US.
2. Getting a job
This is where LBS has the edge in the UK over Tepper in the US. It's not about comparing LBS to Tepper. It's about comparing LBS to the other UK/European schools and Tepper to other US schools. At LBS, you're on a similar 'level' to INSEAD, Oxbridge, and probably a bit better than some of the other schools. In the US, you will be competing with the Ivy's + Stanford, Sloan, Stern, Anderson, Haas, etc.. So it may be easier to brand yourself as a top candidate at LBS in the UK compared to Tepper in the US. Again, both schools are great. But it's about where your competition comes from.
3. Job Opportunities
This is also a bit of a 50-50 scenario. I wouldn't say the UK economy is "going down" significantly enough for it to be a concern in terms of getting jobs in management consulting. And if your intake is 2023, you'd graduate in 2025 by which time we hope the economy would have recovered more. The US is generally more stable so if stability is important, a job in the US would be better.
In the UK, you also may get to work with other European teams. It's quite common to work with people from France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany (so mainly Western Europe). This may be interesting if you're hoping for a more international work experience. In the US it may be a bit more domestic. Having said that, the US is huge to even domestic work might feel varied enough.
4. Post-grad visa status
I think all international students are concerned about visas. Both the UK and US have their benefits and drawbacks when it comes to visas. Personally, I prefer the UK's system because it's more transparent/certain compared to the lottery system in the US. In the UK, if you get a job offer from a company that is a visa sponsor (most global management consulting firms are sponsors), you will get a visa (unless you have a criminal record / fail the background check). If you don't get a job with a visa sponsor, you can still work for up to 2 years in the UK for any company. Not an expert on the US system, but the need for a lottery in the long-term adds some uncertainty.

Hi everyone,
I'm having a hard time deciding between LBS and Tepper at the moment.
I'm from a finance (ACCA UK) and short consulting background and I'm intending to move into Management Consulting. I do not have any strong preference for location.
In terms of ranking, LBS beats Tepper by a big gap.
However, in terms of the economy, the US economy has a lot more opportunities and higher pay scales. The UK is going down and nothing is very certain. I'm from India, settled in the Middle East. Tepper is about $40k cheaper than LBS although I do not want to give it much weight age since I’m looking at this as a life long investment.
What's your thought on this? Do I go with the better ranking/ program or the location with more certainty?
