Sorry, got distracted.
So the challenge is that Marshall has the worst consulting placement (at least on the last year's data, class of 2022. I have not finished compiling 2023 yet)
https://gmatclub.com/forum/best-mba-pro ... 21312.htmlThe only way I can see Marshall working out is you hiring an MBB consulting placement firm for like $20-30K to drill you with interviews, connect you with people, and basically replace your school network because Marshall would not have much to offer.
I don't think there is much of a difference between Stern and Johnson in terms of MBB/Consulting placement. UNC is a maybe.... for consulting hiring your school name is not really that big of a deal - your personal performance and credentials convert your internship and then a return offer.
P.S. There is no guarantee you will get your office of choice, at least at first. You put your top 3 when you get a return offer and hope you get it but NY is one of the biggest so good chance but no guarantee since it is competitive. Does not matter if you came from Stern or UNC or USC, your chances are not driven by school or contacts.
With Johnson and UNC just $20K apart, I think Johnson is a great value here. It is more about finance than consulting but consulting is also strong. Not sure if you have plan B, by the way... but something to consider as well in your decision.
