Hi,
I got a lot of help from the forum, so I want to hear your opinions! They both offered me the same scholarship amount so it's really about the fit.
I am more tilted toward Tuck because of its inclusive atmosphere, but since my strength is my healthcare background, I am not sure if I am making the right decision.
This is my background
- WE: CPG(3y)+ pharma(5y)
- International student so the priority is to stay put in the US!
- Plan A: Product Manager at major pharma or healthcare company (but it seems like they are reluctant to sponsor visa)
- Plan B: Consulting
- Would like to stay in the Northeast, preferably cities after graduation
- Realistically, to increase the chance of recruiting, I will pursue a consulting career first and, as a side, apply for healthcare companies.

Pros:
- Tight alumni, small class size so it is more open to international students
- Slightly better ranked in the US
- Career Service is very personal, I felt more assured after some calls
Cons:
- Doesn't offer healthcare specialty(which Fuqua offers)
- International recognition is weaker than many B-schools
[Fuqua]
Pros:
- Offers Healthcare specialty
- International recognition is stronger
Cons:
- I got the impression that firms send new hires from Fuqua to offices in the Southeast area
- Less interaction among class

Congrats on your admits!
We just pulled the new data from the recruiting reports https://gmatclub.com/forum/best-mba-pro ... 21312.html and healthcare has bumped up since the last year (mostly as Tech has gone down). Funny enough is that Tuck ranks higher on healthcare set of things than Fuqua (despite the traditional view that Fuqua is a healthcare school).
Just seeing that number and not knowing much more background, I feel Tuck will be an awesome experience just because of how tight it is and how it bonds you. There are always differences and clicks among the students (international vs. domestic), etc and Tuck seems to be able to minimize that quite a bit by being remote and forcing you to engage and not just run back to your corner of comfort. I am probably guessing Fuqua also does a good job at it among the T15's, perhaps second after Tuck.
I had a story from one of the prospective students who told me he reached out to a bunch of alums from multiple schools and he saw that to get 2-3 people he had to reach out to 15. He ended up having 15 calls with Tuck almus because all 15 responded. 😵 and he did not want to burn any bridges (he was admitted to Tuck and a few other programs). So Tuck definitely has the community benefit and the location and it seems like the numbers for healthcare as well. I feel Fuqua is more of Healthcare consulting rather than Pharma which tends to be in Boston.... so I guess I am with you leaning towards Tuck.
