Congratulations!

My understanding from a couple folks is that a number of people who have not been able to get an H1B in the US, moved to Canada fairly painlessly.

I would say that Garden‘s and Roman‘s programs would have equal recognition as Kenan Flagler. Just in case you have concerns about name recognition, I feel they’re all about the same.

I have sent people with strong brands on their resume struggling finding a job. I’ve seen people with random programs network great jobs, networking will always trump something such as a school reputation, unless of course you go to Harvard or Stanford or Wharton, but even then, it would just give you a second look on the resume and if it’s a mismatch with what they’re looking for, then I’m gonna hire you just because you went to a business school, they’ll hire someone who succeed on the job.

Thanks for sharing! KF does seem like a strong choice

This forum has been incredibly helpful to me throughout my MBA application journey, from GMAT tips to shortlisting MBA schools. I turn to this wonderful community to get some advice, as I face one of my most important decisions.

I have been fortunate to receive a full-ride at Kenan-Flagler with the Vetter Dean Fellowship, and admits from Darden (sticker price) and Rotman.

Pre-MBA: 6YoE in Market Research
Post-MBA Goals: LDPs / General Management / Rotational Programs - but since they are few and far between, I plan to also focus on Consulting (Plan B) simultaneously.
GMAT FE 715

Canada vs. the US: The relative ease of getting a PR in Canada and the extended timeframe to secure a job (especially given the current job market) makes Canada attractive, which is why I chose it over some very compelling choices in the US. Additionally, I have family in Canada. Rotman is the leading B-School in Canada, and while KF is at #20 in the US (US News).

UNC Kenan-Flagler (KF): The current full-ride at KF with the VDF is hard to ignore as it reduces the risks associated with the US. However, my concern here is UNC KF's brand recognition - not just in the US, but also in Canada, India, and the Middle East. If unable to stay in the US due to visa issues, I'd likely have to relocate to either India or Middle-east / Canada and I'm not sure how well a KF MBA would be recognised in these regions.

Darden: Highest ranked school I've gotten into, and undoubtedly a strong program. However, taking on over $200k in debt given current economic situation (visa policies and weak job market) feels daunting. Not sure if the Darden/T10 brand is worth the additional financial risk.

Would love to hear the community’s thoughts on this, and if I'm missing any key factors. Also, would love to get your perspectives on US vs. Canada for international students, and recruiting for LDPs / General Management / Rotational Programs / Consulting out of UNC KF and Rotman.
Congratulations on achieving such a feat. My suggestion is to go for the low-risk one(KF), Bcs with time the policies might change. Eventually, the US wants to retain top talent, So not having any financial burdens will give you a piece of mind and to take risks for better opportunities.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Ability to move to Canada in case of not getting an H1B does seem comforting!
