INSEAD application has one of the
most extensive and detailed recommendation section across all B-school applications.
It requires two letters of recommendations and each recommender needs to answer the following
six questions in detail. While the school has not specified any word limit, we suggest each answer to not exceed 500-700 words.
Q1. How long have you known the candidate? Define your relationship with the candidate and the circumstances whereby you met.Q2. Comment on the candidate’s career progress to date and his/her career focus.Q3. What do you consider to be the candidate’s major strengths? Comment on the facts that distinguish the candidate from other individuals at her level.Q4. What do you consider to be the candidate’s major areas for development/improvement?Q5. Comment on the candidate’s potential for senior management. Do you see him/her as the future leader?Q6. Describe the candidate as a person.
