Can anyone please evaluate my profile for ISB Intake. Suggest any courses etc if required.

10th - 93.1
12th - 93.33
Graduation - Non engineer 76.7%
Work ex - 43 months at big 4 (Audit Domain)

I have done quite a bit of extra curricular in my college and won rewards and recognition.

Audit isn’t the most favored background for business schools, so it would help if you can demonstrate how your work has impacted business outcomes, whether through promotions, increased responsibilities, or tangible achievements.

The Big 4 experience as well as a differentiated background will prove to be advantageous.

Your focus should be on scoring well on the GMAT - aim for a score in excess of 665; further, use this time to chart out a set of goals that sync well with your existing experience.

All in all, a competitive GMAT score along with a set of essays that aptly represent your strengths and future goals, will give you a good chance.

Hello,

Could anyone please evaluate my profile and help me understand my chances for ISB PGP

I am a qualified Company Secretary (Commerce background) with 3 years of experience in the compliance department of a bank. My role was to oversee corporate Law compliances and manage Board Meetings.

Recently I was offered a role in the Operational Risk department at the same Bank. I am working in this team since the last 4 months and my role includes risk analysis, internal controls, research and reporting.

I had applied to ISB PGP in 2023 R3 and I was rejected.

GMAT Score - 680
12th - 90%
10th - 93%

I am also a sangeet visharad in tabla.

It'll be helpful to know the following:

1. Should I apply this year in R1 with the 680 gmat score and try my luck?

2. Was the limited scope of my earlier role in compliance a major reason of my rejection? As I have heard 680 gmat is a decent score for non-technical backgrounds?

3. Will this role change add value to my application?

Dear KSA_1999 , While we can see some clear highlights in your profile including good academic performance, evolving work experience and decent extracurriculars, we still feel the present GMAT score is quite a bit lower than the average GMAT score of successful admits. Given that we have couple of months at hand before the R1 application deadline, if you potentially can, we would recommend that you re-attempt GMAT and try to aim for a higher score. Can anyone please evaluate my profile for ISB R1 application round. I'll be attempting GMAT in July end.
10th- 87.4%
12th- 65%
Graduation: Engineer 68%
Work-ex : 36 months as R&D Quality Assurance Engineer in a product based MNC

Had filed a patent and won various awards in college in extra curriculars. Also volunteered as a mentor in NGO. Have done internship as an associate product manager in a startup.

The role change will definitely help add value provided you are able to portray it nicely in your applications and link it up well with your proposed goals.

You should retake the GMAT; as a re-applicant, the idea should be to improve on all aspects that you possibly can and giving one more shot at the GMAT makes sense. The best case scenario is that you will improve your score and that will only prove to be advantageous.
