Profile:
- Chartered Accountant (CA)
- CFA Level I cleared
- 4 years of work experience by the time of intake in April 27
- Currently working in Banking & Financial sector
- Brief work ex: Wealth Management. Leading client engagements and advising HNI clients on investment portfolios, asset allocation, and wealth solutions.
- Informally led a regional team and driven business initiatives
Academics:
- CA
- Bachelor's degree: 88%
- Class X: 90%
- Class XII: 77%
Extracurriculars:
- Under-19 National Football Championship at age 14
- Continued football till date
- Finance content writing (Substack/LinkedIn)
- Mentoring juniors in their career/studies
- Helped a small business in their operations
Post-MBA Goal: Management Consulting

Your profile has some interesting angles (CA, sports, Finance, etc.) but some more details can help assess better: which company/ companies have you worked in, have there been progressions/ promotions, key projects/ achievements at work etc.
It'd also be crucial to have a strong narrative covering your experiences, career goals and why the MBA (and ISB) is the right next step at this point. This article can help with some insights and tips on the ISB essays.
While there's no magic score, a 685+ GMAT with a balanced sectional split would be a good score to aim for.

Your biggest challenge won't be your profile but building a convincing story around why consulting is the right next step after wealth management and why now is the right time for an MBA. Make sure your essays highlight leadership, measurable impact, and career progression. With a good GMAT and a well-crafted application, you should be a competitive candidate for ISB.
