I’m really confused. I got into Tepper this year. My post-MBA goal is to go to MBB (McKinsey, Bain, BCG) consulting. Is Tepper a good choice or should I just apply next year again?
My stats: from Indonesia, Woman, WE: 4 years on Sept 2023, Company: Deloitte Consulting, EA score: 153 (Q 12 IR 12 V 9), GPA 3.7 from one of the best uni in the country, Undergraduate Major: social science, a lot of extracurriculars.
Waitlist in MIT R2 without interview (with test waiver), denied in Ross R2 with interview (with test waiver), denied in Cornell R2 without interview (with test waiver)
I'm planning to apply to Columbia, Cambridge, and IESE in R1 2024 intake (or is it better if I apply now?).
I will use my EA score for Columbia and my GRE score of 308 (V150 Q158 Writing 4) for the other schools. But the problem is I already submitted my resignation this month. if I wait until R1, adcom will see that I was only 3 months in my latest job, I have to decline Tepper's offer, and I will be unemployed from April 2023-July 2024 if I get admitted in the next cycle. How will this long gap look to future employers post-MBA?
Even if I get a new job after this, what will this look like to adcom and future employers post-MBA that I was employed for only 3 months in the job that I'm leaving now?
I don't think I can apply to Jan intake because I think I still need an internship.
Thank you so much for reading my long post!
