Hello,
I got a 680 in the GMAT but IR:2/12% and Q:36/35% and V was a good 47/99%.
My undergraduate and MBA GPA's are excellent. I took several math, statistics, accounting, finance and economy courses in undergraduate level and MBA and aced them. It's just that it's been a while since I practiced them and I had a short time to prep for the GMAT.
I'm planning to apply for PhD in management (general or organizational behavior). I was wondering if I should retake the GMAT to see if I can get a more even score on the components. Most of the advice I came across is about people with a high Q and fair to low V and I don't know if my low Q and high V would be favorable in the admission process.
I have close to 9 years of various strong work experience and I have a few things in my favor like the fact that students from my country aren't many and the mean GMAT is low. I have carried out some research during the MBA, but not published. I'm already outlining my motivation letter and contacting professors I worked with on research to attest to my academic abilities.
So I was wondering if my score as it stands would suffice for a PhD in management application or if I should retake the GMAT to even out the different sections.
Thank you!
