Hi everyone, I'm wondering if I could have any chance of getting into HEC Mim at the last round.
In the last semester I improved my GPA (of more than 1 point), to 27.1/30; even if I know that it is still a low GPA, I'm really looking forward to applying in the last round for the Mim at HEC. I want to point out that I'm actually studying in Bocconi (target in Europe). Also, I've done a summer internship in asset management last year and I have a 7.5 IELTS.
I have not yet completed the GMAT, so I would love to receive any advice regarding the possibility of getting into the course and what should be the minimum I should score to get a chance (and to be sure?).

Hi. Bocconi is definitely a strong brand in Europe so that will help your profile. The GPA improvement is also a good signal because HEC does appreciate an upward academic trend.
For the MiM at HEC the GMAT will probably be the biggest factor in your case especially if you are applying in the last round. The average GMAT for admitted students is usually around the 710 range so I would say you should try to target at least 700 plus to be competitive and ideally 720 or higher to offset the GPA.
Your internship in asset management is also relevant and can strengthen your story especially if you position it well in your essays.
The main challenge with the last round is that many seats are already filled so the bar can sometimes be slightly higher. But coming from Bocconi with a strong GMAT and clear motivation for HEC you can still have a reasonable shot.
If possible focus on getting the highest GMAT you can rather than rushing the application because the test score will likely be the biggest lever for your profile.

– BSc in Business Administration (English), Hacettepe University (Türkiye – target university)
– GPA: 3.77/4.00 (Top of class)
– Erasmus Scholar, Bergische Universität Wuppertal (Germany); completed master-level coursework
