Hey!
I'm applying for both MiMs and deferred MBA's. My goals are to try to get into a top 10 school based on a ranking of either MiM or MBAs (though I feel like the MBA goal is a bit ambitious considering how competitive and sparse deferred programs are). My dream right now is to get into HEC-YALE MiM which I'll be applying for in October of this year, though of course the deferred programs would be amazing.
My GRE score is 168 verbal (99th percentile) and unfortunately 162 (57th percentile). This is definitely tough as they look at both quant and the quant percentile a lot more than they do the verbal but I'm not sure it could be that much different if I retake--> spent two months of nothing but studying, eating, and sleeping and completed almost all of GregMat's practices at good ranges.
The average for GRE intake for HEC alone (not HEC-Yale MiM) is 320 total. As mine is well above that (330 total),
do you guys think I have a chance based on scores alone? Or do you strongly recommend I retake the test? : (If a holistic look is necessary: did a few internships in marketing in global companies with my reference being an HEC graduate themselves. Graduating from a top university in Asia, international experience in moving abroad for university and doing an exchange in Paris, and growing up mixed in a homogeneous country. Know multiple languages. Graduating with an expected GPA of around 3.4 locally, around 3.7 internationally (when converted?). Have 112 for TOEFL but also did my undergrad in English which I will be submitting the form for.
