I think none of the above sentences is correct. In the end there must be "do", as we compare iPhone users' downloads to other smartphone users' downloads, not the users itself.

you're right but i think the motive of the question was to identify the right idiom usage... anyways grammatically you are correct i suppose.

I think this is a high-quality question and I don't agree with the explanation. In the option C, which is answer, instead of 'as' there should be 'like'.
'As other smartphone users do' should be correct otherwise.
Please clarify. Thanks!

By the concept of ellipsis, there is no need of 'do' at the end of the sentence as it is assumed.
