I think this is a poor-quality question and the explanation isn't clear enough, please elaborate. i don't understand the solution especially when both statements were involved in arriving at the answer, why is C wrong

I think the best answer is C. Even though Y=13, how do we know that x^2+11x is odd or even?

The best answer should be C. Without knowing the value of X, Xsq+11X cannot be determined (odd/even?).

since we know y is 13. the expression is x^2+11 x + 169 ......... whether we put x=1 i.e. odd or x=2 i.e. even the overall answer would always be EVEN+169. hence we get the answer as B

I think this is a poor-quality question and I don't agree with the explanation. X^2+11x can be odd or even meaning condition 2 is not sufficient
