What software do you use to draw a chart? For example, I want to see how y=x^2 and y =x^2+1 intersect or just to draw y=x^3-3.

You dont need fancy softwares. Excel works jut fine. Define 1 column with x and another with y. Input x as some random values. Refer below for what excel will give you.

An online graphical calculator is at https://www.desmos.com/calculator (I have attached the graph for this as well).

Note that y=f(x)+1 will have a graph that will be the graph y=f(x) moved up (along +Y direction) by 1 unit.

Thanks a lot guys. I knew that with all that open software universe there must be bunch of free applications available. I found some, but they were really basic. Yes, you can do it in Excel, but it requires a bit more time to set up all formulas.

Frankly, if you are looking at drawing graphs for GMAT quant, then DO NOT use the softwares. Try to draw the graph out first yourself by assuming data sets for (x,y) pairs. For GMAT quant, you need to know that y=f(x) is a line while y=f(x^2) is a parabola. Except these, it becomes a bit too complicated for GMAT.
