What does Gmat consider as even integers?

What does Gmat consider as even integers? Hi I m about to take Gmat but have a point where I find different opinions everywhere. What GMaT considers even integers/odd integers. are negative numbers considered aas even or odd integer? is zero a even integer. after reading OG I had the impression that only positive integers greater than zero are divided into odd and even. Both some other guides suggest even -ve integers and zero as even. Caan someone help out on this

Official guide clearly states that any integer that's divisible by 2 is an even number and 0 being equidistant from 2 and -2 with a distance of 2 is also a even number.
Rest are all odd number.
And positive and negative number follow the same rule for even and odd.

Hi breety,

When dealing with odd/even, positive/negative and 0, it helps to think about a number line.

Integers on a number line follow a pattern: even-odd-even-odd-even-odd, etc.

For example:
-3 = odd
-2 = even
-1 = odd
0 = even
1 = odd
2 = even
etc.

Any value to the LEFT of 0 on a number line is negative. Any value to the RIGHT of 0 on a number line is positive. 0 is NEITHER of those things though - it's defined as a "null value."

any number that is of the form 2n is even , where n is integer(-ve or +ve or 0)
and odd is of the form 2n+1

for 0 remember its even  (in DS this is often tested)
