What is the value of x?
Note that we are not told that x is an integer.
(1) When x is multiplied by 8, the result is between 50 and 60 --> 50<8x<60 --> 50/8<x<60/8 --> 6.25<x<7.5. Not sufficient.
(2) When x is doubled, the result is between 10 and 15 --> 10<2x<15 --> 5<x<7.5. Not sufficient.
(1)+(2) 6.25<x<7.5. Not sufficient.
Answer: E.
