Hey
remicatWelcome to GMATClub!
All practice and no concepts or all concepts and no practice - both are not good ways of
working around the problem called GMAT Quant. You need the right mix of both to do
well in the the Quant section. Start by reading a topic from either the Manahattan guides
or our very own
Quantitative Mega-Thread.
Follow this up with immediate practice. Whenever you practice questions, try to understand
if you are able to apply the learning to the problems. Every time you are not able to solve a
question go through the thread(where the question has been discussed) and go through the
various methods that have been used to solve the problems. In my experience, you will come
across a method that will help you save some time. Try and use this method whenever you are
solving similar questions during practice.
Once you are in the last leg of your prepararion, take the GMATClub Quant tests, which you
can either buy or redeem with our points. I would recommend you to do the tests once you
are comfortably touching Q45+ in the GMATPrep. Work on maintaining an
error log and go
through the mistakes you make from time to time. This retrospection will definitely help you
improve your scores.
Last but not the least, these are some posts which I think help you with preparation for Quant
1. ALL YOU NEED FOR QUANT ! ! !2. PS Directory by Topic and Difficulty3. DS Directory by Topic and Difficulty4. Q44 -> Q505. Timing strategiesThe second and third links are for practice only.
Hope this helps you!
