Is n negative?
(1) \(n^2 + n − 6 = 0........n(n+1)=6=(-3)(-2)=2*3\). So, n can be -3 or 2..Insuff
If you want to factorize....\(n^2 + n − 6 = 0.....n^2+3n-2n-6=0....(n+3)(n-2)=0\).. n=-3 or 2
(2) \(n^2 + 6n + 9 = 0\).... n^2+9 will always be positive, so 6n has to be negative to add up to 0..6n<0...n<0..Suff
If you want to factorize....\(n^2 + 6n + 9 = 0.....(n+3)^2=0\)..n=-3..Thus n<0
