Let the number of engineers and managers be x and y.
We are looking for is \(m\geq{1.2e}\)
(1) At least 20% of the employees in the group are managers.
\(m\geq{20}\), so m can be 99% or 21%, but nothing that helps in answering the question.
Insuff
(2) The total amount awarded to managers is at least 20 % greater than the total amount awarded to engineers.
so \(y*m\geq{1.2*x*e}\), but can we say anything about \( m\geq{1.2e}\)..NO
Say y=60 and m=30.....\(y*m\geq{1.2*x*}\).....\(60*m\geq{1.2*30*e}.......[m]m\geq{0.6*x}\)[/m]
Thus m can be 0.7e and also 2e
