Hi,
This is not a Q you are likely to see in GMAT. It is more like a Indian IIM CAT Q..
Don't fall in trap of adding 20+20..
Let's see the solution..
It's a 100 m race, T beats V by 20m. So when T completed 100, V completed 80..
So V's speed is \(\frac{80}{100}\) OR 4/5 of T..
Similarly A's speed is also 4/5 of V....
From above TWO, A's speed is 4/5 * 4/5 or 16/25 of T's speed...
So T at 100m means A will be at \(100*\frac{16}{25}\)=64m..
So The wins by 100-64=36m
