60% work has been done.
Adam does 4% per day.
Bob does 2% per day.
Carol does 1% per day.
total they can do 7% per day.
and 40% of the work is remaining
Hence 40/7 is the time taken by all of them.

C is the answer.

Adam completes 60% of a task in 15 days and then takes the help of Bob and Carol. Bob is 50% as efficient as Adam is and Carol is 50% as efficient as Bob is. In how many more days will they complete the task?

A. \(13\frac{1}{3}\) days

B. \(8\frac{2}{3}\) days

C. \(5\frac{5}{7}\) days

D. \(7\frac{5}{7}\) days

E. 5 days

60 % work is completed in 15 days...

So, 100% work is completed in \(\frac{15*100}{60}\) = 25 days

Let the total work be 100 units !!

SO, Efficiency of A is 4 units/day , Wfficiency of B is 2 Units/day & Efficiency of C is 1 Unit/day

Combined efficiency of A, B and C is 7 Units/day

So, Time taken to complete remainit 40 Units work is 40/7 , Anser must be (C) \(5\frac{5}{7}\) days
