A vessel (A) contains a gallons of Mentha A oil, and another vessel (B) contains b gallons of Mentha B oil. c gallons are taken out of each and transferred to the other, where c is general in value. After r operations the quantity of Mentha A oil in the second vessel becomes \( \frac{ab}{a+b}(1-p^r) \)). Then what is the value of c.

Number testing might not always give the most reliable results, sometimes that may give you misleading results! Even if they appear correct for one iteration but might not prove correct for all possible iterations!

I got this question from a friend of mine who got this from a math quiz, but none of us have a detailed solution. But we are working on it.

I was especially attracted to this question as it has striking similarity with another question posted by The Maths Lord- Bunuel. Maybe, our Math experts here can shed some light on this one and provide a rigorous proof!
