The total cost of water for one year in Community Z of 120,000 homes is $75,000. If the cost were to increase to $80,000 for the community, by approximately what percent would the average cost of water for each household in Community Z?

A) 70%
B) 13%
C) 7%
D) 5%
E) 1.3%

75000/120000 = 75/120 = 15/24 = 5/8

80000/120000 = 8/12 = 2/3

2/3 - 5/8 = 16-15/24 = 1/24

% = (1/24)/(5/8) = 1/24*8/5 *100= 6.7% approx = 7%
