Hi Everyone,
I had applied to 4 B-schools in R1 - UNC Kenan Flagler, Cornell, McCombs, Darden. Out of these schools, I was accepted at UNC with a 50K USD /year scholarship and waitlisted without interview at Cornell.
I submitted an update to Cornell last month that I was in the process of joining a new company in a better position. Though I received a reply from Cornell that they will review my application with R2 applicants, the possibility of converting this waitlist seems bleak.
The scholarship from UNC translates to roughly 70% of tuition. With the current uncertainty regarding the job market and the H1B visas (new US admin), does it make sense to negotiate for a better scholarship or would that be too greedy?
Even a small increase in the scholarship would make a sizeable difference in INR terms.
If yes, how should i go about framing my message to the adcom?
Deposit deadline of UNC is 10th Feb.
My Stats:
GMAT 740, Indian male engineer
4 years of work-ex at a small engineering firm in the UAE.
I have now joined a company in Greece (same industry) for a better role and would be working from both Athens and UAE.
